Overview

Suzanne Elie has worked as a paralegal since 1994 and joined our firm in 2020 as director of our Corporate Services.

She is responsible for coordinating and supervising mandates, the day-to-day management of a team of corporate paralegals, as well as the training and professional development of paralegals and their evaluation. She oversees the implementation of required administrative policies and procedures and she assists in the recruitment of her team members.

Suzanne assists attorneys with the preparation of closing agendas and documents in connection with various transactions such as reorganizations, acquisitions, mergers and arrangements in relation to fiscal and commercial planning. She provides support to clients and attorneys of the firm at closings. She also prepares documentation in this regard, more specifically, incorporations, organizations, amendments, continuances, amalgamations, dissolutions, share transactions, extra-provincial registrations, rollovers, estate freezes and various other transactions. She also reviews minute books in the context of due diligence.

Suzanne continues to acquire knowledge in her field through ongoing education via legal conferences, seminars and discussion groups.
