Enactment of Bill 233 by the National Assembly – LRMM contributes its expertise

December 22, 2017

On December 8, 2017, the National Assembly enacted Bill 233 regarding an immovable situated on Boulevard Décarie in Montreal. The purpose of this Bill was to rectify the title to the Mackay site of which MAB-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre is the owner.

The enactment of this Bill was necessary in order to permit the completion of the integration of the MAB-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre into the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre, which would strengthen the physical rehabilitation mission of the Centre intégré universitaire des services de santé et services sociaux du Centre-ouest-de-l’île-de-Montréal.

The work done drafting this Bill 233 and preparation of supporting legal documents required for the presentation and enactment of this Bill required the expertise of a team of lawyers and notaries of our firm. Months of work was devoted to this matter. The mandate was entrusted to Eric Maldoff who oversaw the project with a team composed of Jean-Roch Boivin, Valérie Giroux, Jeanne Fortin, Martine Comeau and Cindy Afram.

Congratulations for this wonderful team work.
